Elegant Iron?
You bet. Early on, iron was the sturdy choice of people who needed simple furniture that would last, hopefully for generations.
In the present, there are exquisite furniture and accessories made from iron. You can literally decorate every room in your home with iron. You can create a fun bar area using tall wrought iron stools with delicate scroll working on them. Add a matching table to complete the set and you have a fun nook to entertain your guests in.
Iron furnishings can be helpful in the kitchen as well from iron pot holders that look tasteful hanging on a wall or ceiling to kitchen islands that provide a functional space for the family chef to create their magic.
Iron chairs, tables and benches can all contribute an old world charm to any decor. Wrought iron curtain rods can be scroll worked to dramatic levels and are a far cry from the boring old spring rod that might be holding up your humble curtains right now. If you're going to redo your window treatments, get a unique and stylish curtain rod too.
Outdoor in the garden area or patio is the place most people expect to see iron furniture and you can get some outstanding pieces. It's fun to gather your family and friends around a table with a warm fire pit glowing nearby and share some cool drinks and great conversation. Iron furniture can make the place you gather cozy yet tasteful.
Is iron elegant? Absolutely!

Setting the Mood with Candles
There's no doubt, candles create one of the softest and most relaxing moods in a room that you can get.
One fun way to put the soft light of candles into your decor is to make them yourself. The Candle Scraps is a fun project you can do alone or even better include your older children, and you can make candles that look like works of art.
You can make a candle out of anything - literally. If you have a favorite glass vase, ceramic container, even fruits and vegetables can be used. Just press in a wick and you will have a candle. It's fun to look around your room and see what items you can use at your next gathering.
Use an oblong glass candy tray as a glowing centerpiece for your next get together. Just clean the glass thoroughly to remove any finger oils or other residue and then press several wicks in a row about 2 inches apart. Put candle beads around the wicks that are available in 16 colors and just before your guests arrive, light the candles. They will burn slowly as only the candle beads directly around the wicks will melt. After burning, lift out the "used" melted wax beads when it has cooled, insert another wick and you'll be ready with another outstanding centerpiece at your next gathering of family or friends.
The candle beads are unscented, however if fragrance is desired choose from 10 scented oils, or mix up scents to come up with your own unique scent.
