Light Up Thanksgiving!
If you want to make your centerpiece for your Thanksgiving Day table setting something out of the ordinary and you don't want to see another pine cone and fall leaf display, go for a lighter look - with candle light.
Use a
Candle Scapes Decor Package to create some interesting and unique candles around your Thanksgiving dinner table that will bring a lot of compliments. If you remember candle making as a hassle with melting wax in a double boiler then carefully pouring around a wick into a jar or the tedious method of dipping long candles until they are many layers think; Candle Scapes take very little time.
You simply choose a container you'd like to use as a candle for the evening such as a favorite vase or heat resistant container, press in a wick with some wax beads around it and then enjoy the soft light when lit. Only the wax around the wick will melt so when you're done for the evening, simple extinguish the flame and when the melted was has cooled and solidified, you can lift it out by the wick and your container that you used as a candle for the evening will be clean. Just pour the unused wax balls back into the packet and you will have a candle ready again whenever you like.
For a fun Thanksgiving setting, slice the tops off and hollow out baby pumpkins and fill the bottoms with wax beads and insert a wick. If you cut fun shapes out of the front just as simple stars or random circles, you can create a stunning table display with just a little bit of effort.

Simply Thanksgiving
If you want to have an easier holiday season this year, go for simple. Simple in your decor, your entertaining and you'll find you have a lot more time to enjoy the company of your family and friends instead of worrying about setting up tables and cooking.
First of all, go smorgasbord for Thanksgiving. Whether you invite everyone to bring their own special dish or you want to whip up the meal yourself, make it a smorgasbord where everyone can fill their plates there's no formal sit down. This will encourage everyone to keep it casual and a good flow of conversation around the room while everyone enjoys a meal.
Another way to keep it simple is to clear the clutter out of your dining area and opt for
a simple table. Something with classic lines and a good sturdy build will be fantastic. Clear off table tops except for photos, collectibles and other personal items. Have optional seating around the room so anyone that doesn't wish to sit at a table, can still join in on the conversations as everyone dines. After dinner, have a dessert table and let anyone that likes fix their own as they see fit. Two or three pies, a cake, ice cream and freshly cut up fruits make a great dessert table that will offer a great selection for all. Make a pot of coffee, spring for the freshly roasted variety just to give everyone a special treat.
Use these tips to keep your holiday entertaining simple and easy and get out of the kitchen and enjoy yourself this year!
